There's a distinctive distillery character note here of waxy pickled lemons rolled in vanilla sugar then hints of crushed flowers with carnations being the main one some floral gums too
This The Scotch Malt Whisky Society dram of 25.61 Lemon and Vanilla Delicacy I am able to sample as it was sent to me by the #whiskyfabric Queen herself Johanne McInnes (@whiskylassie) who's musings and whealth of knowledge are shared at the WhiskyLassie Blog.
This is a great example from this distillery, and really shows off the lemon sweetness and floral nature of this lowland dram. I have a real love for this distillery and this dram is another example why.
If you are a whisky fan you really should consider joining The Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Sweet and floral initially then the vanilla sugar ... Made the proper way with a split vanilla pod left to sit for a number of weeks in sugar, then waxy lemons yum
Sweet and sugary with a twist of bitter lemon juice
