Isle of Skye 21 Year Old Review

isle of Skye 21This Isle of Skye 21 Year Old was recently released along with a 18 Year old available exclusively through their website or at Harrods.

Fabulously sweet and fruity this dram is right up my street, there's still some dusty, woody notes for balance but it's very much the type of dram i would go for.

However priced at £125 on the Isle of Skye website the price point is beyond what i would expect and for a Blend, even a premium blend, it's over the top (the brilliant Antiquary 21 year old for example is half that price).

Thanks to Isle of Skye for the official sample

Tasting Notes & Details

Woody pencil shavings and balsa wood, really quite strong dun age warehouse notes, fruity dried citrus peels and waxy peel oils, pomegranate seeds and fresh garden herbs, hints of sweet lemons and hints of white bread

Sweet fruity bread like soreen or a fruit bun, breads and sultanas and raisins with fresh melon and watermelon in light syrup, very fruity

Sweet fruity and syrupy, with a hint of oil
