Bowmore 16yr 1991 Port Matured Review

Bowmore 16I'm still getting through my backlog of samples and this Bowmore 16yr 1991 Port Matured sample came from Yoav (@yoavgel) from the Whisky Gospel blog.

The light heathery, mossy, floral smoke twists with foam bananas orange peel and damson jam, the port maturation has given this a real thick fruity jammy nose that is right up my street, the palate adds meaty (sweet and sour chicken) and burnt toast notes to the furity and smoke and the finish is treacley and thick like cough medicine.

This is totally my type of dram and i wish i'd bought a bottle.

This dram was available from Master of Malt but is likely only now available to pick up at auction

Thanks again to Yoav (@yoavgel) for the sample
