English Whisky Classic (The Whisky Exchange Exclusive) Review

English Whisky Classic (The Whisky Exchange Exclusive) I've not had much from the English Whisky Company, and what I've had has been hit or miss for me with some great and some poor, so I've gone into this with a bit of trepidation and a cup full of hope.

For me this really needed a drop or two of water to tame the heat from the abv and bring it under control, especially on the finish, loads of sweetness and very drinkable, really enjoyed this dram, one that will make me look again at the English Whisky Company drams.

Thanks to The Whisky Exchange for the official sample.

Tasting Notes & Details

There's a candy floss sugary sweetness coming first, then a powdered vanilla icing sugar, this is all kinds of sweet but without being too sweet, some rich tea biscuits and a hint of hob nobs oat like goodness and a touch of orchard fruits in syrup.

Custard creams and sugary candy floss, quite a bit of heat from the abv calmed by a drop or two of water brings out more artificial sweetener notes and oat biscuits, orchard fruits and light syrup

Fruity and sweet, with water it's calm without its hot
