Highland Park Loyalty of the Wolf 14 Year Old Review

Highland Park Loyalty of the Wolf 14 Year Old Highland Park over the years have produced some really interesting drams, and their Travel Retail ranges have been ones I've liked a good number of before, and although they seem to be getting a fair bit of stick from some whisky quarters at the moment I was really looking forward to trying this range.

with an RRp of around £65 this Loyalty of the Wolf is the second from the bottom of the range but please don't let that put you off as its damn drinkable so grab one next time you're in an airport.

lots of tropical fruit and creamy buttery notes on the nose, followed by tingles of spice on the palate along with BBQ'd fruit, this is very tasty indeed.

Sampled as part of a twitter tasting organised by The Whisky Wire.

Tasting Notes & Details

Oh yum lots of fresh tropical juice juices on the nose here, fresh heather and a little heather honey, freshly scraped vanilla pods, including a bit of the waxy pod itself, hint of smouldering bracken, creamy/buttery notes, almost mozzarella like.

Tingles of lemon spices, lemongrass but spicier, ginger and touches of bbq'd pineapple, some dried fruits coming though here, and a bit of those carub coated raisins i used to eat.

Fresh, ginger and lemon, tasty
